Our commitment to early childcare education ensures that children receive well-rounded instruction that caters to their diverse needs. Utilizing a curriculum with engaging activities creates memorable learning experiences that prepare children for their educational journey.

Our curriculum is foundational; as the child grows, it grows with them. Your child will be placed in a classroom with learners who are all within a six-month age range so that they learn and grow together. Children will change classrooms once a year in the fall but will typically remain with the same peers throughout the program. Older siblings will be encouraged to interact with their younger siblings throughout the day.

Our curriculum is developed with the understanding that no two children are the same. Children can expand their minds to new horizons while engaging in activities that will help stimulate their curiosity. We want Gold Hill Preschool to be a home away from home; we want to ensure that every child is comfortable and happy and that every family knows their most prized possessions are being cared for with love.

Our parents will have access to Brightwheel, an app that can be downloaded directly to their cell phone or PC. This app will allow them to remain connected and communicate with the team throughout the day, allowing them to send messages and receive updates on their child's progress.

At Gold Hill Preschool, we understand that early childcare education for infants requires a focus on sensory experiences, so we have a well-rounded curriculum that prioritizes sensory and tactile activities for infants. Our Infant curriculum encourages sensory and tactile activities, including creative expression and language development, using songs, interactive play, hand gestures, and facial expressions. In addition, we focus on the fine motor skills of each child and develop play activities that reflect their skills, abilities, and likes.

Toddlers (12 months - 24 months)

We follow a proven toddler curriculum focusing on social and emotional development by building the toddlers' independence with simple math, reading, arts, and science experiments. Our childcare program in Fort Mill is designed to broaden the children’s horizons by encouraging hands-on activities that engage their imaginations. Our experienced toddler teachers will broaden the children’s horizons by encouraging hands-on activities that help them master their fine motor skills. The goal of this age group is to encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and the development of a willingness to try new things.

Early Preschoolers (2-Year-Olds)

Early preschoolers are at a critical stage of development where their inquisitive personalities will blossom as they begin to start making choices and experience independence on their own. According to our philosophy, this is the ideal time for children to discover their individuality while fostering a love for learning, ensuring a solid foundation for their educational journey. At this stage in a child's life, becoming potty trained is an independent skill every child will learn. Through cooperation and communication with our parents and positive affirmations, our toddlers find potty training to be a pleasant experience.

Preschoolers (3-Year-Olds)

At the preschool level, children are transitioning from an independent stage to a more self-aware stage. Gold Hill Preschool fosters this growth through thoughtfully curated activities that enhance individual learning, catering to the diverse developmental needs of each child. Teachers will use activities to enhance the curriculum to increase the children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and language and literacy development. Through the curriculum and enhancements, children can recognize their numbers, letters, sounds, and second-level colors and work on writing sight words.
