Our Enrichment Programs

Gold Hill Preschool’s Enrichment Program is designed for three to five-year-olds to work on a specialized curriculum incorporating various enrichment activities and accelerated lessons on a rotating basis. The goal is to further develop their logical reasoning, cultural literacy, leadership skills, problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, living and life skills and creative thinking through an interdisciplinary approach.

We ensure that the arts are an integral part of the curriculum at all levels and ages. As our preschoolers’ perceptions deepen and their knowledge expands, they will begin to implement their own creative ideas with increasing confidence and skill.

Our Enrichment Program includes:

Music and Movement Program

• Dancing & Movement: Encourages children to jump, sway, and dance to various musical styles, promoting coordination, balance, and body awareness.

• Musical Instruments: Children experiment with tambourines, shakers, and other instruments, learning rhythm while developing fine motor skills.

• Listening Skills: Engaging activities enhance focus, aiding in cognitive and social development.

• Creative Movement: Provides a safe space for free expression, helping boost imagination and self-confidence.

Writing Skills Class

• Basic Writing Skills: Children learn to form letters, trace shapes, and practice strokes, building a foundation for future handwriting.

• Fine Motor Development: Activities like pencil gripping and shape tracing strengthen the hand muscles needed for writing.

• Drawing Skills: Simple drawing exercises help children visualize ideas and prepare for letter formation.

• Creative Expression: Open-ended drawing and early writing exercises encourage self-expression through art and words.

Art Education Class

• Creative Exploration: From painting to sculpting, children experiment with different mediums, learning about colors, textures, and shapes.

• Free Art: An open-ended approach lets children explore their ideas without constraints, fostering confidence.

• Fine Motor Skills: Activities using crayons, brushes, and clay help develop dexterity needed for writing.

• Imaginative Expression: Each project is designed to inspire joy and individuality, empowering children to express their unique perspectives.

Fit Kids Fitness Program

• Obstacle Courses: Build balance, coordination, and self-confidence in a safe, supportive setting.

• Fitness Games: Engage children in playful activities to enhance agility, flexibility, and strength.

• Sensory Activities: Incorporate sensory play to support fine and gross motor skills as well as hand-eye coordination.

• Large Motor Skill Development: Focus on essential movements like jumping, running, and climbing to promote healthy growth.

• Fun Fitness Activities: From dance to relay races, this program keeps kids energized while instilling lifelong fitness habits.

Offered as both a summer camp and an extracurricular option, Fit Kids emphasizes building confidence, friendships, and a joyful connection to physical activity.
